"This taste very good ,but we were very disappointed because it was not ready at the specified time in the recipe. We found that out at dinner time after we fixed our plates. I should have read the reviews to see that this dish should have been cooked longer . So I had to put it back in the oven for an additional 30 minutes and we will have to eat it for dinner tomorrow instead. But from what I tasted, I really enjoyed . Too bad the potatoes were not cooked completely. I will definitely make this again but will bake for at least an hour."- mogriff1

Rysona 1 month agoI'm lactose intolerant, so I used almond milk and less cheese. It came out smelling wonderfully! The sauce thickened as it cooled.

kjekholm 2 months agoAmazing scalloped potatoes! 'Better than grandma's' said my family. I heeded the advice of others to pre-cook the potatoes. I sliced them and then microwaved for 10 minutes , then drained and tossed with the cheese mixture before putting them in the oven. Delish!
Reason2011 2 months agoThe recipe overall was good. I agree that the cooking time was slightly off, so I may go with the suggestion of parboiling my potatoes next time. I also added more cheese! Thanks for the recipe :)
Miller70 2 months agoVery delicious. I had to make adjustments...par boil the potatoes first. And spiced it up with pepper jack cheese then top it of with chopped green onions. Fabulous.
shaydubb615 2 months agoMade this last night, absolutely no leftovers, it was great. I used sharp cheddar (because I'm addicted to it) and parboiled the potatoes like others suggested. It came out perfect, I paired it with fried fish and some greens and everyone when to bed full

htsandors 7 months agoThis is a great recipe, very tasty. Definitely needs a longer cooking time on the potatoes, I had them in for an extra 45 mins
rickgoranson 7 months agoThe 1st time I cooked it, the potatoes were still hard after cooking for 30 minutes. The 2nd time, I boiled the sliced potatoes for 10 minutes before cooking in oven for 30 minutes. Its well worth the extra 10 minutes or it will take an hour in the oven.........It turned out nice and tender.
Good2bme 8 months agoIncreased the cooking time and doubled the cheese(sharp cheddar, Parmesan, and mild cheddar mix). My family enjoyed it.
