Original recipe makes 6 servings
1 qtTomatoes; canned
1/4 tsDry mustard
2 tbVinegar
2 tbWorcestershire Sauce
3 mdPotatoes; diced
1/3 lbSmoked pork (butt or
1 dsCayenne pepper
1 tbTexas Pete Hot Sauce
1 smCan corn
1 qtWater
1 mdOnion; chopped
2 tbBBQ Sauce
1 tbSoy sauce
1 smCan butter beans
1 cCatsup
3 tbBottled chili sauce
1 Bay leaf

Barbecue Stew (Not Brunswick Stew) Preparation

Put every thing except the beans and corn In a large pot. Simmer(do not boil) for 2 1/2 hour stirring occasionally until the potatoes are nearly done add vinegar and vegetables. Simmer until potatoes are done. Remove Bay leaf before serving. Serving Ideas : Serve with crackers and corn bread as meal. NOTES : Potatoes become grainy if frozen.
