1 tsGround cinnamon
1 Egg
1/2 cShortening
1 cPersimmon pulp
1 cRaisins
1/4 tsGround cloves
1 cNuts; chopped
1/2 tsGround nutmeg
2 cFlour
1 tsBaking soda
1 cSugar

Persimmon Cookies #3 Preparation

Source: Stars In the Galley - Star of India Auxilliary Cookbook Blend shortening and sugar. Add egg and mix well. Add the pulp mixed with the baking soda. Add nuts and raisins. Sift spices and flour together. Add gradually to the mixture and blend well. Drop by teaspoon fulls onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 min. until done.
