Original recipe makes 1
2 tbGarlic powder
1 tbOregano
Chile sauce; (enchilada)
1 lgOnion; chopped
Salt to taste
2 lbTripe; cut into small pieces
2 29-oz canshominy

Menudo Preparation

Put all ingredients into large crock-pot. Add enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, turn down to simmer. Simmer several hours, at least four. As the Menudo cooks, you may have to add liquid, but you dont want it real thin. Menudo should be thick, like a stew. Posted to recipelu-digest Volume 01 Number 255 by "Diane Geary" on Nov 14, 1997
