Original recipe makes 1
1/4 cupWater
1/4 cupRed wine vinegar
1/4 teaspoonSugar
1 teaspoonlemon juice; freshly squeezed
2 teaspoonsSalt
3/4 teaspoonBlack Pepper; freshly ground
3/4 teaspoonWorcestershire Sauce
1/4 teaspoonEnglish mustard, dry
1 small clovegarlic; finely minced
1/4 cupolive oil, full-flavored
3/4 cupSalad oil

Original Cobb Salad Dressing-Brown Derby Preparation

Blend all ingredients together, except oils. Add olive and salad oils. Mix well.

Blend well again before mixing with salad.

A note from the Brown Derby: "The water is optional, depending upon the degree of oiliness desired in the dressing."

I forgot to add. NO SALT. The cheese adds enough, though you may wish to add some fresh ground pepper to taste

I cut out 1/2 cup oil and it tasted great.

I've become too used to low-fat or non-fat dressings, and the oil in this was just too much for my palette. I would try it with more vinegar, or less oil. The salad was fantastic!
