I stuffed the cavity with rosemary sprigs, chopped onion and crushed garlic cloves and rubbed the skin with olive oil, poultry seasoning, salt and pepper. Prepare deli-style chicken at home by aid of your crockpot.
Rub chicken with olive oil. Sprinkle with season salt to taste. Spray inside crockpot with non-stick cooking spray. Put foil balls in bottom of the crockpot. Place the chicken on top, breast side up. Cover and cook on HIGH for 4-6 hours.
Note: Do not add water or other liquid to crockpot.
Do not cook on LOW setting.

Hotdoxy 1 week agoI will make this again, however I will cut the cooking time in half. My chicken came out way too dry despite being over twice as big as called for in the recipe.
jandole 4 months agothis was ok..didn't really 'taste' like store bought rotisserie but the flavor was good! Took others advice and stuck in 400 degree oven for about 10/15 mins to brown up...

Beaky5678 1 year agoThis works perfectly! Used foil balls and larger chicken so cooked on high for 6hrs. Meeting was very juicy and I even managed to make gravy from the juices.

Suzcap 1 year agoSo eases and so good. The chicken fell apart. No carving necessary. My kids did not use any dipping sauce, barBQ, ranch, honey, nothing. Loved it, every bite. Made it exactly as directed.

Jdramirez 2 years agoI used a lot of diff seasonings. Some Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper and a little BBQ seasoning I had lying around. This turned out GREAT!! Will def be making this again!
Kristypa09 2 years agoI followed the recipe but then I added some additional spices, a lemon in the cavity, and rubbed garlic butter under the skin. I cooked it on low for about 9 hours. It was so tender all the meat came right off the bone! Will definitely make again!
janiemic 2 years agoI followed the recipe, and was pleased enough to plan on making it again, but next time with more seasoning. But yes it is a 'keeper'
