Oven Baked French Toast

Ready in 45 minutes

This make-ahead dish can be made the night before, then popped in the oven for half an hour before breakfast. It bakes up fluffy and golden. Top with fresh strawberries before serving.

"If you are not a morning person, or you lack the time to cook in the morning, this recipe is for you. A make-ahead dish that can be prepared the night before and then baked in the oven for half an hour before breakfast. If you don't like strawberries, it is just as good served with maple syrup."

I made the night before and bread was still squishy and uncooked on bottom side after cooking. Maybe it was the bread I used? I had to turn the bread over and cook for a few more. Was not a big hit.. I might try again but cook right away.

Tried it this morning. Tasted great and was easy to make. Next time, I'll probably add cinnamon and a dash of nutmeg to the egg mixture, rather than sprinkling the cinnamon on top - we're cinnamon junkies.
