Suggest a better descriptionPreheat oven to 350 degrees. Sift flour with baking powder and salt and set aside. Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat, add sugar, and stir until dissolved; cool 5 minutes. Beat in egg and vanilla, mix in dry ingredients and nuts. Spoon into a greased 8x8 pan and bake 30-35 minutes until brownies just begin to pull from sides of pan. Cool in pan on a rack before cutting.
