This banana bread recipe is Mrs. Wood's version.
"I didn't have baking powder so I mixed 2 tablespoons vinegar and 2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda instead. I also added 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and used 1/2 cup white and 1/4 cup brown sugar. I put butter on top anyways so less sugar is just fine with me. I also baked about 45 minutes because I like it a little more moist. Banana Bread Preparation
Mash bananas with fork until smooth. Combine with all other ingredients and mix until smooth. Pour into a large greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for about one hour
Notes
The best I have ever tried, not too soggy and not too dense.

Half cup sugar, 5 dashes of cinnamon, 2 dashes of Nutmeg. Half cup semi-sweet chocolate chips mixed into batter, another half cup on top of batter after in pan. Yummy!
