This banana bread recipe is Mrs. Wood's version.
"This bread was awesome! I did make a couple changes/additions. I used all brown sugar in place of white sugar, I added about a half cup of ground golden fax meal. I also added an extra teaspoon or so of vanilla and a half cup of shredded coconut. The mixture seemed a bit thick so I added a splash of milk to loosen it up. Then I sprinkled brown sugar over the top before baking. It turned out great!!! Toasted it the next morning and topped with maple butter. Delicious!!!"- LoriLozier

Top-ranked recipe named "Banana Bread"
Mash bananas with fork until smooth. Combine with all other ingredients and mix until smooth. Pour into a large greased loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for about one hour
The best I have ever tried, not too soggy and not too dense.

ees55 2 weeks agoThis was not my favorite. I added walnuts and cinnamon but the bread still seemed to be missing something. It could have been more moist too.

dorpeng 1 month agoIt was really good:) The sugar amount was perfect, not too sweet. The baking didn't need an hour, 45 min tops. Milk was added to loosen the mix. It was really good with walnuts. Yum!

tulipgirl1 2 months agoDear lonewolffe, have you ever tried this recipe? How do you know it's incomplete? My recipe is very similar and mashed bananas act as the liquid in my recipe. I don't use oil at all. Not all breads need oil to work.
divinesweetz 2 months agoAfter wanting banana bread FOREVER, I made this today. This is great banana bread. I just added a little extra vanilla and brown sugar on the top. A keeper recipe!

gwenrothman-roney 3 months agoAWESOME! I had 5 banana's so I used all of them. no other variation but it did take and extra 25 min bake time than the recipe. Next time I'm adding walnuts! I didn't have any when I made it tonight but next time I will!
Jennelson1984 4 months agoExcellent recipe! I made the bread in muffin tins instead of a bread pan; took about 35-40 minutes to cook. Just took it out of the oven when the sides turned brown
