Saute ground beef, onions and green peppers until onions are clear and ground beef is browned. Drain Grease.
Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, basil, oregano, garlic, salt, pepper, and Pasta to beef mixture. Add 1 cup cheese and heat until everything starts to bubble.
Place everything in a 2 1/2 quart casserole dish.
Sprinkle the other cup of cheese on top and bake at 350° for 25 - 30 minutes.

jmschaub 2 years agoTastes good and is easy to make. The only comment I'd like to make is that the poster didn't mention anything about cooking the pasta first. Yes you catch it later, but simple enough to change.
rlyberis1972 2 years agoMy husband loved this. He said it was better than Fazolli's baked ziti. I didn't use as much salt as the recipe called for and accidentally added twice as much oregano, but it was still great.
