Really Good :)
"I decided to try this one out because of the addition of cream cheese. I'm not a fan of garlic powder so I let some fresh minced garlic sweat in the butter until fragrant and then added all other ingredients, fresh grated Romano and fresh black pepper. The sauce was way better than my boring bechamel based Alfredo. We tossed it on 7 cheese tortellini. My daughter love it. Going to try my seafood Alfredo with it next. Definitely not a weekly dinner kind of sauce with the cream and cheeses but yum!"- swamppixie

Top-ranked recipe named "Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce"
In a saucepan combine butter, heavy cream, and cream cheese. Simmer this until all is melted, and mixed well. Add the Parmesan cheese and Garlic powder. Simmer this for 15 - 20 minutes on low. You may wish to season with a little salt and pepper. I have done this with half and half, but we prefer the heavy cream. I wouldn't try it with plain milk.
Well I finally figured out how to get that taste. Let the sauce simmer as long as you can!

LavenderWand 8 months agoIt was yummy...but thin. This might have been my fault because I cooked it on very low heat for the 20 min--I was afraid it woukd burn if I put it any hotter. Still very good. Better thin than burned.
