I make this all the time using yellow cake mix instead, I also omit the chocolate syrup so it's not overly sweet. My husband and kids love it! I have to admit, not the healthiest but it's such an amazing guilty pleasure :)

Best cake I've made

My son asked me to make this for him a couple of years ago for his birthday. Every year this is what he wants for his birthday. This is a very very sweet cake - but a BIG hit!

I made this, but changed a few things the second time around: I used salted caramel ice cream topping (if you can't find salted caramel topping, just buy caramel ice cream topping and add sea salt to taste); eliminated the chocolate syrup and used homemade chocolate Ganache; and made my own unsweetened whipped cream. I found this balanced out the flavors more and wasn't overly sweet. Everyone loved it!!

This cake is good but very sweet. I made it once and only at 1 piece and the rest my bf took to work for the guys to eat. Tastes good but is just way too much. I wouldn't make this cake again.

Great cake it was very moist. This was very rich and my whole family liked it.
