I make this all the time using
yellow cake mix instead, I also omit the chocolate syrup so it's not overly sweet. My husband and kids love it! I have to admit, not the healthiest but it's such an amazing guilty pleasure :)
I made this, but changed a few things the second time around: I used salted caramel ice cream topping (if you can't find salted caramel topping, just buy caramel ice cream topping and add sea salt to taste); eliminated the chocolate syrup and used homemade chocolate Ganache; and made my own unsweetened whipped cream. I found this balanced out the flavors more and wasn't overly sweet. Everyone loved it!!
This is a cake that you can change the candy bar depending on your preference and it will taste just as good. Personally, I love it as a Take 5 cake. They are more difficult to smash than Butterfingers, but they are DELICIOUS!!!
