An oven Pancake recipe from Germany

"I fix this in my cast iron skillet. I melt the butter in the skillet at 450 degrees. Turn it down to 350 and add chopped apples and then pour the egg mixture over that and sprinkle with a little cinnamin and bake for about 12 minutes. I put butter on top with powdered sugar." - tkh1957

3 Eggs
1/2 cupmilk
1/2 cupFlour
1/4 teaspoonSalt
2 1/2 tablespoonButter

Honey; (very lightly drizzled)
Pineapple with apple butter
Yogurt
Maple Syrup; dusted with powdered sugar
Strawberries

Oven Pancake Preparation

In a medium bowl, beat eggs until thick and lemon colored. Add milk, flour and salt. Mix well. Melt butter in 10 inch glass oven safe casserole dish. Pour batter into the pan of melted butter. Bake at 450 for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Cut in fourths.

Top with your choice of the toppings above or get creative and try something new!

    This is really yummy... I do put an extra egg in it and it works out just fine:). I also use whole wheat flour :)

    These are called Yorkshire Puddings in England and were traditionally served before a main course to fill up hungry working men before they got to their main course which would have had a limited amount of meat.

    i have been makeing and eating oven pancakes since i was 5 (today i am 14) i have loved them for just as long! i think thay go best with butter powdersuger and lemon juce(not the fakey stuff you need real juce)
