Classic Italian Dish
"Loved this recipe! Just a thought; when I make this recipe for children I find they like the taste of Vermont White Cheddar instead of the Mozzarella mixed with the ricotta cheese. Everything else is the same."- capalongr

Cook shells according to package directions. Drain & rinse in cold water, set aside.
Heat oven to 350
Mix together the ricotta cheese, 2/3rds of the mozzarella cheese, the parmesean cheese, the egg & the spices.
Fill each shell with approximately 2 Tbs of filling, and place in a single layer of a 9 x 13 baking dish. When all the shells are filled, pour the spaghetti sauce over the shells, sprinkle with the remaining cheeses.
Cover the pan with aluminum foil, and bake for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, remove the foil, and bake for 10 more minutes.

wilcoxs 1 year agoI thought it was good. I used dried herbs and thought the oregano was too strong. I would use less next time.

BlizzardCooks 5 years agoI didn't like the marinara sauce out of the jar that I chose. I messed up the amounts of cheese. I will try this again and try to get it right and pick a better sauce. I think I will look into homemade marinara sauces because we can't find any out of the jar that we like!
