Quicky Salsa

Recipes »  Appetizers  »  Dips and Spreads

I discovered this quick and tasty recipe while working in a restaruant. After working very long hours the kitchen staff would whip this recipe up and serve it with warm tortilla chips and icy cold margaritas. It was a great way to bond with co-workers and put the long days work behind you.

"Rather than a food processor I use a stone "Molcahate" to grind this. The coarser texture feels better in the mouth and the stone bowl adds "authenticity" to the presentation. "

Ok. I overdid the cilantro which is very powerful. Start small and slowly add to taste. Not bad quick and easy. Better the next day after flavors melded. Thanks for the basics.

Very simple. Easy to embellish. I use canned tomatoes in the winter, and drain some of the juice.
