Large chewy chocolate chunk cookies. Yummm!

"These cookies are absolutely wonderful. Only difference with me is I use softened butter and cream it with the sugar and add in from there. I do agree if the recipe came from somewhere else it needs the credit posted, but all the same they are delicious! Thanks for sharing. :)"

12 TbspButter; melted
1/2 cupSugar
1 cupBrown sugar
1 largeEgg
1 Egg yolk
2 teaspoonsVanilla extract
1/2 teaspoonSalt
1/2 teaspoonBaking soda
2 1/8 cupFlour; (2 C plus 2 Tbsp)
12 oz.chocolate chunks

Kathy's Chocolate Chunk Cookies Preparation

Preheat oven to 325.

Melt butter in a large microwaveable bowl. Add sugars and mix thoroughly. Then mix in whole egg, egg yolk, & vanilla. Add in salt, baking soda, and flour and mix until just combined. Stir in chocolate chunks. Place about one-quarter cup dough balls onto parchment paper lined cookie sheets (wax paper may be substituted). Smaller dough balls result in cookies that are not as soft and chewy.

Bake at 325, reversing cookie sheets' positions halfway through baking, until the cookies are light golden brown and the outer edges start to harden yet centers are still soft and puffy, about 15 to 18 minutes.

Notes

Theses chewy, gooey chocolate chip cookies are fantastic!

I already had this recipe and recognized when I saw it. It is fantastic. The only difference is I use Dark Chocolate chips.
