Very tasty and VERY easy!

"After reading the reviews I added one packet of McCormick's brown gravy mixture about half way through cooking time; I added frozen peas, carrots, and corn with about 45 minutes to go; and I also added some ancho chili powder. Not too much, maybe a tablespoon, just to give it some life. It came out nice and thick over rice and my wife and kids loved it. I added some tabasco to my own plate. " - marcom25

This smelled terrible while it was cooking but it was very tasty! We were gone most of the day so the smell didn't matter as much. Ill probably change it up a little next time with the suggestions people wrote on here. So easy my boyfriend could probably do it on his own while im at work!

Rating is for original recipe. The gravy is vary watery and has un-natural taste. Spruced it up with beef base, garlic, and Maggi seasoning. Better off finding more traditional recipe.

It was def. easy Ill give you that ! I wasn't a fan my boyfriend liked it but that's not saying much he's usually easy to please! I had to add stuff to get more flavor cause it def. lacked in flavored!! I used golden mushroom soup along w/the cream of mushroom soup, 2 pks of the onion soup mix, a large onion, garlic ,and worstershire sauce and still didn't do much help I will probably not make again!! It's not horrible just kind of bland like the others have said!

Tasted great! I added 1/2c red wine for flavor and some cornstarch to thicken due to it being so watery

The meat was good and juicy but the sauce was missing something. We both found nothing special about it. Will continue looking for a better recipe.

Made this today- awesome! I used cola instead of 7-up- just cause its what I had. The meat just melted in your mouth. Great flavor. My husband says this way now replaces my old recipe!

I just got a crockpot and this was my first recipe and it was awesome! I did use 2 cans of mushroom soup and added some cornstarch at the end to thicken it up. The meat just fell apart.

A little on the bland side. I thickened the gravy with cornstarch added in the last hour of cooking, heat set on high.

My 14 year old son heard it had 7 Up in it and was all over it - and he's my fussy eater. Definitely looks disgusting when you first mix it all together but turns out nice with lots of good gravy for the rice or noodles.

I think this was an excellent recipe!!! I'm from the deep south as another posted but I think it was great and does deserve five stars all it takes is a little shake of crushed red pepper in your plate to add some spice!!

I was skeptical about making this, but it turned out so good! The meat was very tender and the flavor was awesome! Def make again
