Aka "No Bake Cookies."

These were a childhood favorite at Grandma's House.

"It worked! The cookies set this time! Hooray! I didn't have enough quick cooking oatmeal in the house so I had to use half original oatmeal with the half quick cooking oatmeal I had on hand. I also boiled the mixture for EXACTLY one min. and made sure I formed the cookies EMMEDIATELY after I stirred in the oatmeal. One of these factors resulted in success. Finally! " - Jeanwgriffin

This was way too easy and tastes really good. I think next time I'll cut down the amount of sugar a little though

Excellent! Quick and very good. We added some cinnamon to the recipe as well.

I love the flavor but everytime I make it I have to put them in the fridge to get them to set. What am I doing wrong?
The kids eat the soft dough before it has a chance to set. So I guess it doesn't matter. It just bugs me that they won't set. I don't feel I can give them as a gift or to a party. A shame because they are so yummy!

These are so rich and decadent that I like to drop them by the teaspoon making them just big enough for a couple bites. I love to make a variety of very small cookies and serve them throughout the holidays. These will be sure to be on the next holiday plate.

I'm not sure if I did something wrong - but these are too runny to even think about setting into anything. Anyone got any suggestions? I'd be happy to give it another go, but can't think what I could possibly have done wrong. Please send me a message if you have ideas! I'm too frustrated to keep it on my try soon list!

This recipe also does well with crunchy peanutbutter.
