Ready in 45 minutes
These are great with bbq steaks.
"I have made this a number of times now and have always loved it. Today I made the dish in the oven rather than the BBQ. I preheated at 350 and baked for 45 minutes. I also use the wedges taken from the potatoes to prop the potatoes up. This makes the wedges crunchy."- Jennelson1984

Cut two slices in the potatoe, lengthwise. nearly but not all the way through.
Slice the onion you need at least 8 slices.
Place a slice of onion and a slice of cheese in each of the cuts in the potatoe.

Kylej6 3 years agoThe potatoes were quick and good... I used Mozzeralla, but think I will use something stronger next time. I also used bacon fat instead of butter. Will try again.

RKG1 8 years agoHad company drop in tonight and made these up for supper. They loved them. Since everyone liked garlic I used both sliced cloves in with the cheese and onion and garlic powder on top.
