My mother used to make this sauce over 30 years ago and it is still the main sauce we use when having ribs.

Original recipe makes 4
2 tablespoonButter
1 cupWater
1/2 cupCelery
2 tblspoonsVinegar
2 tblspoonsWorcestershire Sauce
1 teaspoonDry mustard
1 Garlic
1 Onion; chopped
1 cupCatsup
2 tblspoonsLemon juice
2 tblspoonsBrown sugar
1 teaspoonSalt
1/2 teaspoonPepper

Mom's Sparerib Sauce Preparation

Melt butter in a frying pan and brown the onion. Add the remaining ingredients and cook for 20 minutes.

To use:

Pour over ribs and while cooking occasionally spoon over the top of the meat again.

Cook for 20 - 30 minutes until ribs are completely cooked.
