The flavor of the classic apple treat is a perfect fall taste for this meal.
"I was a little skeptical of this dish, it might sound like and unusual flavor combination but it was exceptional! The savory from the seasoned pork chops (I DID well season chops before cooking) meets the sweet of the apples and gooey caramel sauce. To me it was like french toast pork chops with apples, might not sound delicious but I thought it was divine. I will definitely be making this dish again, it went straight into our book of favorites. Thanks for posting!! :)"- AshleyM77

Heat skillet over medium-high heat. Saute chops, 5-6 minutes, turning occasionally, until both sides are evenly browned. Remove; keep warm. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, salt, pepper, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add butter to skillet; stir in brown sugar mixture and apples. Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes or just until apples are tender. Remove apples with a slotted spoon and arrange on top of chops; keep warm. Continue cooking mixture in skillet, uncovered, until sauce thickens slightly. Spoon sauce over apples and chops. TXSunnyBunny 7 months agoI personally liked this dish, but my husband said it was like eating meat with an apple pie 8-(
lisamarr-turner 7 months agoThese are very good. I actually tripled the sauce and added a little more apple as I have 6 people in my household. My daughter, who never eats, actually went back for seconds. This is a definite go to dinner when I want everyone to eat the same thing. One thing I did differently, is rather than spoon the sauce over the top, I put the pork chops back into the pan with the sauce and apples for the last couple minutes of cooking time.
jadeclaire 8 months agoPure awesomeness. I also doubled sauce. Will def make again
dsimpson819 8 months agoThe pork chops were very tender and this recipe was very easy to follow. My husband didn't like the apples but he loved everything else.
AlpineYve 10 months agoVery nice. I cooked the sauce too long and it changed to ...more like toffee - but we loved the flavours and I'll make it again with more care to the sauce. Funny that the toffee pieces were very popular by themselves even though that was the mistake!! Thanks for sharing your recipe.
