Great stew.

"I loved it! I added Lawry's Season salt (liberally) and having read the comments about salt and pepper I liberally applied them, too.

The other thing I did was really work the flower and spices into the meat before adding the vegetables. I used russet potatoes (big ones) and I ended up adding an extra cup-and-a-half of beef base because my vegetables were so big.

I cooked on high for 4.5 hours and low for 30 minutes.

Yummy! I'm eating it right now.

Oh yah and I added the Kitchen Bouquet, too." - necede

This did not turn out for me the potatoes and onion were tough, and the flavor was just off. We tossed most of it.

I made this as directed and then added a seasoning packet for beef stew. I also added a little bit more liquid and it turned out so yummy. I have never conquered beef stew before and it all went! Going in my favorites:)

Very nice. I served it to my brothers and they asked for more and perhaps ate too much! Try blending some of the veggies then adding it back to the stew if you don't want to leave it on for so long but still want the intense, full flavour.

This is such a yummy and easy beef stew. I've made it twice now and we loved it both times. It will definitely be a staple in the meal planning repertoire.

Would of been nice to know thickness cut of veggies. There wasn't enough liquid to start. Made cooking it tough literally. Somewhat bland. I wouldn't make again. Something was missing.

When I made this I sauted the beef in about 3 tbsp olive oil first and then added to slow cooker. I also reduced the beef broth by 1/2 cup and added 1/2 cup red wine. I also added some mushrooms to the mix. Also I used whole wheat flour instead of white and turned out very good. It was a hit in my house.

This was delicious and easy! I added extra beef broth and cooked in a stock pot which cut down the cooking time. I also added Lawry's seasoned salt.
