Anita's Favorite Meatloaf

Recipes »  Main Dish  »  Meatloaf

I've tried many recipes and this is our family-favorite. The bell pepper really

gives it a good flavor.

"A very simple, easy to prepare recipe that turned out very well. I added a small grated onion and 1 teaspoon Kitchen Bouquet to the recipe. I also made a Brown Sugar Ketchup Glaze using; 1/2 cup ketchup, 4 tablespoons brown sugar and 4 teaspoons cider vinegar. I brush the loaf with half the glaze before baking. I let the finished loaf rest 20 minutes and served with the remaining glaze." - sgrishka

Meatloaf turned out a little weird, and was practically oozing grease. I liked the taste, however my husband didn't care for it at all (didn't like the onions) so I will not be making this again.

Suprisingly good, tasty, and moist! I didn't have a green bell pepper, so I used a yellow one; I look forward to cooking this with the green pepper, I'm sure there will be a difference!

Great recipe. Loved how easy it was. The ketchup/brown sugar/cider vinegar glaze was a great addition too.

This was the such a quick meal, and my husband loved it. A little too spicy for my 15 month old. I left out the pepper and added some tomato sauce over the top in the last 10 minutes of cooking. Can't wait for another meatloaf night!
