I've tried many tortilla soup recipes and this is the BEST!

| 1 mediumOnion; chopped |
| 1 mediumJalapeno pepper; chopped |
| 2 clovesGarlic; minced |
| 1 canTomato; stewed, red, ripe |
| 4 cupsChicken Stock |
| 1 canTomato soup |
| 1 teaspoonCumin |
| 1 teaspoonChili powder; or less to taste |
| 1 dashSalt; to taste |
| 1 dashPepper; to taste |
| 1/2 teaspoonLemon pepper |
| 2 teaspoonWorcestershire Sauce |
| 12 eachCorn tortillas; torn |
| 8 ouncesColby Jack cheese; grated |
| 1 canTomato juice |
| 1 mediumAvocado; optional |
| 1 cartonSour cream; optional |
Yummy Tortilla Soup Preparation
Saute onion, jalapeno pepper, garlic, and tomatoes in large kettle for
several minutes.
Add remaining ingredients except tortillas, avocado, cheese, and sour cream. Simmer for 1 hour.
About 10 to 20 minutes before serving, tear tortillas into bite-size pieces and add to soup.
Place cubed avocado and grated cheese in individual bowls and ladle hot soup on top. Top with spoonful of sour cream.
