To add to my previous comment, I did only cook veggies 40 minutes as per posted comments. Not sure about the bland comments, mine was anything but!

Not a big fan of the original recipe but I thought I would give it a shot. Definitely needs more seasoning as it is quite bland. Very easy though.

Wow. This was a great surprise. We peppered it up a little more than the recipe and got some added kick. I would only simmer the chicken for about 40 minutes then finish cooking winkle boiling the dumplings

I would say this a great way to cook chicken and dumplings quick. I would say flavor was in issue. Luckily I read other reviews. Ousted 3 boullion cubes and 50% chicken stock and 50% water and I would say it stil lack. A little flavor. I agree with the author on extra dumplings I did not do that and I wish I would of. I have left overs frozen. And I know they will be good always better secon time around

I really enjoyed this recipe. The herbs were very prominent, so I'll cut them back a little next time. But overall, it was very satisfying.

I've fixed it twice and loved it both times. I use leg quarters instead of breasts as they are juicier. I also make another batch of dumplings when I heat up the leftovers.

FANTASTIC! Only comment is that if you use less chicken breasts still use a little more water than covering chicken as it boils away quick with the dumplings. This will be a new regular in our home. Everyone loved it!

Yummy! I used chicken broth like other reviewers and added a can of cream of chicken soup. So good! I didn't have all of the seasonings for the dumplings, but so yummy any way. Thanks for sharing!

It was ok. Subbed broth for water, didn't taste fantastic. Was just ok.
