Preheat grill to high. In a medium saucepan, combine the oil, vinegar, water, and sugar over medium heat, and cook until the sugar has melted. Add the mustard seeds, garlic, and cabbage, and cook until the cabbage is soft, about 15 to 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.

darrent 2 years agoPersonally I do not like cabbage, so would not make it again, only made it for my wife since she loves cabbage. Also makes a bit too much for the 2 of us for 1 meal.
parrotperson 3 years agoThis is NOT sauerkraut. Sauerkraut is by definition fermented, not cooked. It takes weeks to make, and is much, much better than this cooked crap. Better for you, too.
