skneubuehl ,Love this and will make again! You could easily change it up by adding green peppers, mushrooms, ..... We used ground turkey and it was excellent!3y
p1fisher ,Easy and best sauce ever! Put all the ingredients in the crock pot and let it do the rest. So nice after a long day at work5y
wezelball ,I have to give this top rating too. I also added 2 tbsp brown sugar, 2 tbsp sriracha hot sauce, and fried mushrooms. Next time I will try simmering the sauce for an hour versus slow cooking - the crock pot cooked away the spiciness. Still excellent, though. No more store bought sauce for me!7y
kareninma ,I have made this dozens of times! Often I make it exactly as listed and it's always delicious. We love coming home to this in the slow-cooker if we've both been working! On the days I'm working from home, I just follow the recipe, but keep it in a big pot on the stove - it comes out scrumptious that way, too. It's delicious, nutritious and very versatile. Truly, one of my go-to recipes!8y
harrietgriffin ,Add 2tbsp sugar when in slow cooker. Fry up some mushrooms and add them in :)10y
harrietgriffin ,Best sauce I've had with spag bol! Only thing I'd change would be add some pan fried mushrooms and it would be perfect! My partner also reckons more sugar :)10y
marilynmartin ,Even before it's cooked, it taste good. I think this could be the best spaghetti sauce I have ever made.11y
love2cook001 ,Loved it! I added mushrooms, celery, and a dash of cinnamon. Thank you for sharing; )12y
harrisonkraft ,I will probably substitute crushed tomato for diced next time, but the sauce turned out very well.12y
broodymama ,My whole family LOVED this. Even my 7 year old who hates 'chunky' anything loved it and she was a hardcore 'spaghetti, no sauce' kind of a gal so that's saying a lot. I wasn't sure about the brown sugar and the hot sauce but it all totally works! Thanks for a great recipe!!!12y
staceybob ,Awesome sauce! I made it using only the listed ingredients to get a feel for THIS recipe and it was great! Next time, I'll try adding some crushed red pepper or green bell peppers to see how tweaks will work. Nice job!13y
billyroy7 ,Gooood stuff.. I added 4 cloves of crushed garlic, some red pepper and a cup of cheap merlot, which really kicked it up with flavor.13y
ngsgoddess ,This is a great sauce for pasta! I love using my crock pot to simplify meal times and this recipe did not disapoint.14y
mister-b ,I didn't have time to give the sauce a full 8 - 10 hours in the crock pot so I simmered it for a couple of hours on the stove and then let it finish up in the crock pot. I made a double batch on my first attempt and it came out just fine.15y
miketx ,A very easy, stand-alone recipe. It's also a great base recipe, ripe for customization as shown by the comments! I have to admit I generally make a sauce based on a Mario Battali recipe, which is much more time consuming and costly. The Battali recipe creates a great sauce, but I often don't have the time (hours) to tend to it. This sauce is flavorful, adaptable, and the newest addition to my Big Oven collection. By the way, in response to the last post, looks to me like Webtexan added the recipe and RKG1 added the photo.16y
