Brown Bag Apple Pie
An old family favorite apple pie with a crumb topping.
"I made 2 and they were slamming/delicious i added caramel sundae topping before putting in the oven and i didn't have any more nutmeg so i used a little pumpkin pie spice and i had a bunch of leftover apples taken up space in my refrigerator and it was well worth it and i had leftover pie crust in the frig already in the shell so everything worked out perfect and i don't eat apple pie but i do now Thanks" - bigmona311Yield: 6 Ready in 45 minutes

Brown Bag Apple Pie Preparation
Mix 1/2 cup sugar, 2 tablespoons flour, 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, and 2 tablespoons lemon juice in a large bowl. (Omit lemon juice if using green apples. They are tart enough already.) Add apple slices and toss until coated. Place in pie shell. For topping cut 1/2 sup sugar and 1/2 cup flour into 1/2 butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle over apples. Place pie in large brown paper bag. Fold ends over twice and fasten. (I use staples or paper clips.) Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for one hour.

Mmm. Easy to make apple pie. The hard part is waiting for it to cool so I can eat it.
