Ready in 45 minutes
These sinful brownies are made with chocolate chips instead of cocoa powder.
"Got tired of boxed mix and my daughter wanted to make scratch brownies. They were very good. A little too sweet for me, I will try a combination of semisweet and unsweetened or dark chocolate next time. I might leave out one egg next time. Recipie was super easy and quick, totally perfect for my 13yo daughter to make without help (she's our resident brownie maker). "- wattsnest

In a small saucepan, combine 1 1/2 cup sugar, 2/3 cup butter, and 1/4 cup water. Bring just to a boil. Remove from heat and add one 12 ounce package (2 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Stir until chocolate melts. Transfer chocolate mixture to a large bowl. Beat in four eggs, one at a time. In a small bowl combine flour, soda, and salt. Gradually add flour to chocolate batter. Blend in 1 cup chopped nuts if desired. Pour into greased 13x9x2 inch pan. cakemagician 9 months agoI made these yesterday and instead of vanilla extract I did mint extract they were very good
MimiKitchen 9 months agoThese brownies were amazing. I've many different brownie recipes and these are the best yet. Not as chewy and tough as some brownies can be. Very flavorful and not too sweet. I did mix the chocolate mixture a bit in my stand mixer to cool it down before adding the eggs. This made it creamer. Next time I will add walnuts. Definite keeper.
nacey 11 month agoThis recipe made more of a chocolate cake than brownies in my opinion, but if you prefer brownies more cakey then i suppose its ideal

kevin-ashleymarmet 1 year agoNow I'm not an amazing baker or anything. But for these being double fudge and using 4 eggs, they turned out pretty dry :( might have been me though.
