These sinful brownies are made with chocolate chips instead of cocoa powder.

A little too sweet for me, I will try a combination of semisweet and unsweetened or dark chocolate next time. I might leave out one egg next time. In a small saucepan, combine 1 1/2 cup sugar, 2/3 cup butter, and 1/4 cup water. Bring just to a boil. Remove from heat and add one 12 ounce package (2 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips and 2 teaspoons vanilla. Stir until chocolate melts. Transfer chocolate mixture to a large bowl. Beat in four eggs, one at a time. In a small bowl combine flour, soda, and salt. Gradually add flour to chocolate batter. Blend in 1 cup chopped nuts if desired. Pour into greased 13x9x2 inch pan. Bake at 325 for 50 minutes.

KitchenFairie 5 months agoOmg yum! And yes I'm Sooooo making this over and over Now I didn't have packaged chips so I used bakers chocolate and I tossed a splash of coffee in to give it a pick my up boost. I'm looking forward to these coming out of the oven now! <3

MimiKitchen 6 months agoThese brownies were amazing. I've many different brownie recipes and these are the best yet. Not as chewy and tough as some brownies can be. Very flavorful and not too sweet. I did mix the chocolate mixture a bit in my stand mixer to cool it down before adding the eggs. This made it creamer. Next time I will add walnuts. Definite keeper.
nacey 8 months agoThis recipe made more of a chocolate cake than brownies in my opinion, but if you prefer brownies more cakey then i suppose its ideal
