| 1 teaspoonGround cinnamon |
| 1/4 teaspoonGround allspice |

| 1/2 cupbutter or margarine; (1 stick); softened |
| 1/2 cupGranulated sugar |
| 1/4 cuppacked brown sugar; (light or dark) |

| 1 cupunsweetened applesauce |
| 1 teaspoonPure vanilla extract |
| 1 mediumgranny Smith apple; finely chopped |
| 1 cupRaisins |
| 1 cupwalnuts; coarsely chopped |
| 1 cupconfectioners sugar |
| 2 TablespoonsFresh Lemon Juice |
Soft Applesauce Raisin Cookies Preparation
Preheat over to 375 degrees.
Grease 2 cookies sheets.
In medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon,
allspice and salt.
In large bowl, with mixer at medium speed, beat butter, granulated sugar,
and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Reduce speed to low; beat in egg,
applesauce, and vanilla. Beat in flour mixture just until blended. Stir
in apple, raisins and walnuts.
Drop dough by rounded measuring tablespoons, 1 inch apart, on prepared cookie sheets.
Bake cookies on 2 oven racks 20 to 22 minutes or until lightly browned around edges and set, rotating cookie sheets between upper and lower racks halfway through baking.
While cookies bake, in small bowl, stir confectioners' sugar and lemon juice until smooth.
Transfer cookies to wire racks. With pastry brush, brush lemon glaze over warm cookies. Cool.
