This delicious one-dish meal is good for you too! Serve with lots of crusty bread.
"Soo delicious. I didn't have any bay leaves but I just used basil and italian seasoning. My 14 month old loved it, and so did my PICKY two year old (once I got him to take a bite). My vegetarian husband who usually doesn't like most things I make said he wants me to make it again. :)"- melodyarredondo

ramona628 7 months agoTasty & easy recipe. My toddler loved it. Substituted fresh basil, farfalle pasta & tomato paste. Added a red bell pepper & twice the white beans for extra protein.

jimshim 1 year agoReally enjoyed this soup. Incredibly easy to make. Great for cold winter nights.
Whittas22 1 year agoSo easy and tasty. Make this when you haven't been able to get to the shops in a while. Really hearty too - I added diced bacon which wasn't out of place
miktamo 1 year agoThis soup was one of my favorites from this year. I just added a little chicken flavor powder for a little more flavor and partially cooked pasta for less starch in soup. EXCELLENT!!!
LittleTeacup 2 years agoDelicious, easy, fast and healthy! What more can you ask for? I used a bag a fresh spinach and stewed tomatoes instead of diced tomatoes.
Tomaat 2 years agoThis is a very easy and delicious soup. My whole family loved it.
fltcrew21 2 years agoGreat soup. Even my 5th daughter cleaned her bowl. Added diced chicken, twice the macaroni, and all Italian spice instead of basil. Served with whole grain bread sliced in a basket.
NavyGator 2 years agoOutstanding! Doubled the recipe and added about 3 cups of elbow noodles, salt, and rosemary. Kids from 8 to 17 liked it plus the adults.

susanjm 3 years agoHi KarenBee - Not sure how the Vegetarian tag got on this ... it certainly wasn't me! However, I have made it with vegetable stock instead and it is every bit as delicious.
KarenBee 3 years agoI found this recipe browsing in the 'Vegetarian' category, and was surprised to see chicken broth as an ingredient, which means it is not vegetarian at all -- it still looks really good, and I plan to try it soon substituting vegetable broth.
CarpeNocte 4 years agoOverall a great recipe and easy to follow, but I found it a bit bland so I added some oregano and crushed red pepper; I also added shredded chicken.
susanjm 6 years agoI've changed this back to the recipe that I orginally posted. The other version sounded good too ... why not post it separately as it was so very different? [I made edits to this recipe.]
