Oriental Chicken Salad
Ingredients
Original recipe makes 4
| --DRESSING-- |
| 1/2 c.Sugar |
| 1 tbsp.Cornstarch |
| 1/4 c.Water |
| 1/4 c.Vegetable oil |
| 1/4 c.Ketchup |
| 3 tbsp.Cider vinegar |
| 1 tbsp.Soy sauce |
| --SALAD--; ingredients: |
| 1 medium headiceberg lettuce; torn |
| 2 cupchicken; cooked & cubed |
| 1 cansliced water chestnuts; drained |
| 6 oz packagefrozen snow peas |
| 1 cupcashews |
| 3 ozChow Mein noodles |
| 1/4 c.Green onions |
Oriental Chicken Salad Preparation
Combine all dressing ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, cooking and stirring for 2 minutes or until thickened and then cool.
Put all salad ingredients in a large bowl. Add dressing and toss to coat. Serve immediately.
