We love different salads at my house and this is a good combination of flavors and crunch.

Original recipe makes 4
--DRESSING--
1/2 c.Sugar
1 tbsp.Cornstarch
1/4 c.Water
1/4 c.Vegetable oil
1/4 c.Ketchup
3 tbsp.Cider vinegar
1 tbsp.Soy sauce
--SALAD--; ingredients:
1 medium headiceberg lettuce; torn
2 cupchicken; cooked & cubed
1 cansliced water chestnuts; drained
6 oz packagefrozen snow peas
1 cupcashews
3 ozChow Mein noodles
1/4 c.Green onions

Oriental Chicken Salad Preparation

Combine all dressing ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, cooking and stirring for 2 minutes or until thickened and then cool.

Put all salad ingredients in a large bowl. Add dressing and toss to coat. Serve immediately.
