Country Apples

Country Apples

Ready in 45 minutes

Ideal slow cooker size: 2.5 quart.

"I loved the look of this recipe so today I made it when my daughter came to lunch. I substituted frozen blackberries for the raisins and cranberries. Of course this made the finished product a lovely deep pink shade, but all agreed it was delicious.
I forgot to get the slow cooker out of the cupboard earlier, so I cooked it in my rice cooker. This speeded the cooking process and kept the food lovely and hot until the time to eat it."

Very good over ice cream, kind of cobbler like without crust. I cooked a couple hours on low, then wanted to speed process up so cooked an hour on high & it was pretty much done.

This was awesome and easy to do. I used this over a french toast dish I made and everyone loved it. I used a combination of pears and apples.

This was so good but it definitely needs to be eaten with something. It's like apple pie filling but a little bit sweeter.

This is vegan ONLY IF the butter is replaced with a non-dairy alternative (e.g. soy margarine).
