Oh so creamy and yummy! A recipe sure to please everyone.

"I cut the servings down to 8. Replaced the then 1 cup each of whipping cream and milk with 2 cups non-fat half and half. Placed mixture in a 9 x 13 pyrex baking dish. This required 4 cups of cheese topping to cover the larger service. Quite good. Well worth the effort over packaged attempts. " - Cyrano

Original recipe makes 24 Servings
32 ouncesVelveeta, Light or Regular; cut into chunks
8 tablespoonsButter; 1 stick
2 cupsHeavy whipping cream
2 cupsWhole Milk
1 teaspoonSalt & pepper; or to taste
32 ouncesElbow Macaroni; dry
3-4 cupsCheddar cheese; shredded
1 tablespoonPaprika

Kelli's Creamy Macaroni and Cheese (Updated 11/2011) Preparation

1. Pour milk and cream into pot. Add the chunked Velveeta and cook over low heat, stirring until Velveeta has melted. Add 1 stick of butter and melt into cheese sauce. Add salt & pepper to taste.

2. Cook elbow macaroni noodles according to pkg directions. Drain.

3. Place cooked elbow macaroni in turkey-sized roasting pan(if making the full recipe) and pour cheese over. Mix well. Top with 3 cups of shredded cheddar cheese. Sprinkle top with paprika.

4. Bake at 350 until bubbly, about one hour.

One serving: 1/2 cup. The original recipe makes approximately 24 servings.

Notes

This dish refrigerates extremely well for leftovers and to send home with family and friends.

This is a great recipe. I made this the night before to reheat at a family dinner the next day. I made as directed by the recipe and I was a bit dissappointed that it was not as creamy the next day as it had been the night before. However, great overall.

Great recipe. Holiday favorite. Just wish it listed the amount of velveta. Wasn't sure if it was one small bar or one large bar.

OMG, very good! One of the best mac n cheese recipes that I've tried. Made the whole batch and froze half for future. A great comfort food. Served this with breaded talapia during the super bowl. I used Hungarian Paprika for an extra kick and will try bread crumbs next time. Thanks!

We have made this at BBQ catering events and it was a crowd favorite. I've referred this recipe to a few other folks who have also reported back with great results.
