Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

Great Oatmeal Raisin Cookies recipe. These oatmeal raisin cookies are absolutely the best I have ever had. When I make these, I get rave reviews from both children and adults every time... as well as many repeat requests.

"These are delicious! The nutmeg addition is inspired. I subbed white whole wheat for all of the white flour and they were tender and tasty. FYI, I compared this to the famous Vanishing Oatmeal Cookie recipe on the Quaker Oats' site, and the only differences are that the Vanishing Oatmeal Cookies use 6 fewer tablespoons of butter (3/4 stick,) 2 eggs instead of 1, and omits the nutmeg. Slightly more cakey from the added egg, definitely less buttery...both are great, of course!" - Beth3

Made these last night for hubby. He loved them! Didn't add all the sugar, made a great 'breakfast cookie'. Will definitely bake again.....thanks for posting!

Best oatmeal cookies ever! I used craisins (dried cranberries) instead of raisins and upped them to 1-1/2 cups.

Really amazing recipe! I added half cup of applesauce because at first I was worried I put to many oats in. Then I used cranberries and pecans. Yum Yum!

These cookies were really good! Even better the next day! In mine, I opted out the raisins and used cranberries and put in chocolate chips. The cookies did seem to be a bit too saltly, so beware of that and possibly add less salt.
