Original recipe makes 6
1 cupsugar
1 tablespoonLemon juice
1 teaspooncinnamon
1 teaspoonnutmeg
5 mediumapples; (up to 6)
1 cupRolled oats
1 cuplight brown sugar; firmly packed
1/3 cupFlour
1 teaspoonsalt
1/3 cupbutter; (melted)
vanilla ice cream
OR whipped cream

Oaty Apple Crisp Preparation

Preheat oven to 375.

Coat 3-quart baking dish lightly with butter.

Combine sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a medium bowl and mix well.

Peel and slice apples. Add apples to sugar mix and coat well. Spoon into baking dish.

Combine oats, brown sugar, flour and salt. Add butter, stirring with fork until crumbly.

Spread crumb mixture over apples.

Bake until brown and bubbly, about 30 minutes.

Spoon into bowls and top with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

Apple desserts go great with ham, pork roast, or pork chops!
