Original recipe makes 12
2 poundTator tots
1/2 cupMayonnaise
1 12-oz canCream of chicken soup
1/2 cupOnion; chopped
1 pintSour cream
1/4 teaspoonSalt
1/4 teaspoonBlack pepper
2 cupsCheddar; grated
2 cupsPotato chips; crushed

Tator Tot Casserole Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Grease 9x13 inch shallow casserole pan

Place the tator tots in the pan (Note - hash browns work, too).

Mix all ingredients together except tator tots and potato chips.

Cover with mixture then spread potato chips on top.

Bake for 50 minutes.

Notes

Can substitute hash browns for tator tots.

Great recipe! I added a pound of hamburger. I also made it a breakfast by adding a fried egg on top. Yum!

Very good recipe. I added 1 lb ground beef and some corn to it. I also added a layer of tator tots on the top and sprinkled cheese on it. (I wanted to give this 4 stars but husband voted for 3 so it's more like 3.5).

This casserole is awesome. I made it two nights in a row. The frist night, I added a layer a bacon and the second night I added chicken to it. Either way, it was great and will be making again, very soon!
