| 1/2 cupButter; or margarine, softened |
| 1/2 cupVegetable shortening |
| 3/4 cupSugar |
| 4 eachEgg |
| 1/2 cupGreen chilies; diced |
| 1 1/2 cupCreamed corn; canned |
| 1/2 cupCheddar cheese; shredded |
| 1/2 cupJack cheese; shredded |
| 1 cupFlour |
| 1 cupYellow cornmeal |
| 2 tablespoonBaking Powder |
| 1 teaspoonBaking soda |
| 1 teaspoonSalt |
Southwestern Green Chili Corn Bread Preparation
Pre heat oven to 325 F.
1 Blend the butter, shortening and sugar until creamy.
2. Add the eggs one at a time mixing well. Add the remainder of ingredients and mix well.
3. Pur the mixture into a greased 9" square baking pan.
4. Bake at 325F for 50 to 60 minutes or untill firm in the center.
