trissa ,I just made this for dinner yesterday and everyone loved it. It is a great recipe or method for preparing the tougher roast that we usually have and really enjoy.12y
beaux5000 ,I now use this recipe every time! I do add msg and go heavy on all the spice. It's so good and easy12y
nfable ,Very nice'n easy. I did some math if you don't have 4# of meat: it is 15min/lb @ 350 and 30min/lb @ 250. I rubbed coarse salt, cracked pepper, paprika, garlic pdr, and msg in the meat by hand then sifted the flour on the meat and patted it in. Also used beef bouillon and apple cider vinegar for the liquid. Yum.12y
vikkiray ,Wonderful recipe! Really easy to put together and Great tasting! Will make again for sure.13y
illeppaz ,Tried to cook in a webber but after three hours it was not ready so transferred to oven to finish of. Would have been better cooked in the oven for whole term13y
nrsjn10 ,Absolutely wonderful!!! Added garlic powder and montreal steak seasoning to flour mixture and beef boullion and red cooking wine instead of water to final stage of cooking.13y
red_queen ,Took longer than 3 hours to cook. Needed more season, not as tender as roast in crockpot. I will never make again13y
Easy and delicious. I added vegetables and 2 cups of red wine instead of the one cup of water. I added a spice and herb mixture to the flour before dredging. A fantastic dish I will recommend to my friends.
8thfloorlove ,I added onion and garlic powder plus McCormick's Montreal Steak shake to the flour, salt and pepper before dredging. I used dry red cooking wine instead of water, and added 2 beef bouillon cubes. The roast was delicious and my family was happy. Thanks for this easy recipe.14y
sevillana ,Did it the other night and my family loved it. Doing it again for mothers day. 5 star fab and very tender. Going to do it again for Easter . 201014y
artierod ,This was a winner...I added other things not on the recipe like garlic and onion powder. I used a packet of beef base with water before covering for the last two hours...I like to try new things with meat...next time maybe a little red wine in place of beef broth...add potatoes and carrots durring the last hour. Bottom line...Nice Dinner.14y
tmantom ,How fast and easy it was to make.I used potatoes, celery, and baby carrots, and one large onion cut up I added a extra half cup of water while roasting. To the pan drippings I added one envelope of beef gravy mixed in one cup of water. Thicken gravy with a little cornstarch and water. This makes more gravy in the end.14y
