Smokey barbecue flavor -- great as a meal or a side dish.
"I liked this recipe a lot and it was definitely a hit at Thanksgiving! Only problem was I had to make it twice. I made it in the crock pot and cooked it for 8 hours like it says in the directions and it turned to mush. I hurried up and made it again cooking it for 3.5 hours on low and it turned out perfect. Will definitely make this again!" - beneg23Yield: 12 Ready in 45 minutes

Mom's Five Bean Casserole Preparation
Brown beef and bacon. Add onion and cook while you get other ingredients ready. Drain half or more of juice from each can of beans, except for pork and beans. Combine all ingredients in very large casserole dish. Stir in the beef, bacon and onion. Bake, uncovered, for 1 hour at 350F. Can also add cut up smoked kielbasa, sliced pepperoni or cooked italian sausage prior to cooking in oven. I've also done this in the crockpot instead of the oven by cooking for 8-10 hours on low.
