6 eachItalian Sausages; Sweet, Mild, or Hot as you prefer
2 tablespoonolive oil
1/2 eachGreen bell pepper; cut into strips
1/2 eachRed bell pepper; cut into strips
1/2 cupOnion; cut into strips
12 ouncePizza sauce; BigOven Recipe 161218
1 1/2 cupMozzarella cheese; shredded or six slices
6 eachSour Dough Rolls; 8 inch
Aluminum Foil

Italian Sausage Sub Sandwich Preparation

Preheat oven to 350.

Cut rolls lengthwise but not all the way through. Pour olive oil into skillet. Cook sausage over medium heat for 10-12 minutes or until done. Remove from heat. Add peppers and onions. Sautee until soft, about 3 to 5 minutes.

Open rolls and spread 1/6 of sauce mixture into bottom of each. Sprinkle 2 ounces of cheese or place one slice over sauce. Add vegetables and sausage. Wrap in aluminum foil.

Bake for 8 minutes to 10 minutes.

Note: Turkey Italian sausage may be substituted if you prefer
