Preheat oven to 350 degrees (325 deg. for glass dish). In a 13 X 9 inch baking pan, melt margarine in oven. Sprinkle crumbs evenly over margarine; top with apples.* (Use enough apples to cover crumbs well even if more than called for.)
In heavy saucepan, over medium heat, melt chips with Eagle Brand(R) . Pour butterscotch mixture evenly over apples. Top with coconut* (there again, enough to cover mixture well.) and
nuts; press down firmly. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool. Cut into suares. Garnish as desired. Refrigerate leftovers.
