Reviews for Basic Pancake Mix Recipe

Recipes »  Breakfast  »  Pancakes

Say goodbye to Aunt Jemima! Once you taste these homemade pancakes I think you'll agree they're much better than the boxed kind! Add a bit of vanilla or fruit (frozen blueberries work well) to make them extra special. If you want, mix up the dry ingredients in advance and give it away as a gift (with instructions on how to finish making the pancakes) or just store it for even quicker pancakes on Sunday mornings.

Added applesauce & cinnamon one time & mushed bananas another time, have also added freeze dried strawberries. I keep a mason jar of the pre-made mix on hand at all times. My kids LOVE breakfast for dinner!

These came out very good. The batter came out perfect they didn't even stick to the pan. They tasted great. Next time I'll share my pictures on how they came out. Will definatwly make them again! Thanks for posting.

Awesome & easy recipe. I think I'm going to make up a big batch of the dry mix so I have it on hand for a quick go-to. The whole gang loved these fluffy pancakes both plain and with blueberries.

I'm used to mixing wet ingredients first and then combining with the dry. I didn't like mixing in the milk first and then the eggs - I had to over mix the batter to get the eggs mixed in. They tasted okay enough - but I agree, this is just a basic recipe. I think I will keep looking for my go-to pancake recipe

I gave these a harsh review the first time but have since re-made w/ updated recipe & my family loved them!! I added cinnamon the first time & mini chocolate chips the 2nd time. I prepared the dry mix before hand to make mixing them early in the morning before school much dater. Yummy!!

Just perfect as described. We like really thin pancakes, so I upped the milk a bit ... Delicious!

They were a bit plain, but it's a great recipe for the basic pancake and easy to follow. I'll try putting cinnamon or pumpkin spice in it next tie. Definitely good with blueberries and the dark chocolate pieces I tried already with a bit of butter on top.
