Original recipe makes 2
3 cupsSugar
1 cupVegetable oil
4 eaEggs; Beaten
1 16-oz canPumpkin
3 1/2 cupsFlour
2 tablespoonsBaking soda
2 teaspoonsSalt
1 teaspoonBaking Powder
1 teaspoonNutmeg
1 teaspoonAllspice
1 teaspoonCinnamon
1/2 teaspoonCloves
2/3 cupWater
1/2 cupRaisins; optional
1/2 cupChopped nuts; optional
1/2 cupDates; optional

Pumpkin Bread Preparation

Preheat oven to 350.

Cream sugar and oil together.

Add eggs and pumpkin, mix well.

Sift together dry ingredients and add alternately with water.

Pour into well greased and floured 9" x 5" loaf pans, (can be lined with wax paper).

Bake at 350 for 1 hours or until tests done.

Let stand for 10 mintutes and remove from pans to cool.
