Old family favorite.

"Used bacon instead of ham, only because I didn't happen to have any ham on hand, but this was a very good quiche Lorraine! Not runny, flavors melded nicely together, cooked beautifully. Family loved it! Will definitely be making this again. Paired it w/the Pizza Pasta Salad recipe from this site. Many compliments from my family." - cchm13

Original recipe makes 6
1 cupHam; diced
1/2 poundSwiss cheese; coarsely grated
5 largeEggs; lightly beaten
1 teaspoonSalt
1/8 teaspoonWhite pepper
Cayenne pepper
1/8 teaspoonNutmeg
1 3/4 cupsHalf-and-half cream
1 tablespoonButter; melted
Ready-made pie shell

Quiche Lorraine Preparation

Preheat oven to 425 degrees and precook pie shell for 5-7 mintues.

Take out of oven and add remaining ingredients that have been previously combined.

Bake uncovered for 15 minutes at 425 degrees.

Lower oven temperature to 350 degrees; continue baking until firm (approximately 20 more minutes).
