We can't remember where we got this recipe but it is delicious! Sure, it may require an angioplasty afterwards, but it is worth it!
"A really nice change of pace for a traditional Italian style pasta dish. I've made this dish three times so far. The first two times, exactly as posted...the third time, I couldn't leave well enough alone--I added about a cup of Fontina cheese to the white sauce and served the dish sprinkled with freshly grated Asiago and a few grinds of crushed red pepper. Both versions are excellent."- sgrishka

Make a white sauce with the 2 Tbsp butter, flour and milk. Set aside.
In a frying pan, squeeze the meat out of the sausage casings and fry. Add onion and continue cooking until onions are translucent and sausage meat is cooked all the way through. Add the garlic powder, parsley, salt, pepper, and cayenne pepper to the sausage mixture. Mix thoroughly.
Boil water and cook fettucine according to directions. Add white sauce to meat mixture and simmer while fettucine is cooking.
Drain and rinse fettucine. Ladle the meat and sauce mixture over the hot fettucine.
Grove tips: Use less yellow onion and add some red onion

SexxyRedneck68 2 months agoI just cooked this. Based on the reviews I added another 2 tsp of flour to the sauce! It came out perfect! I also added some Parmesan cheese and Italian cheese at the end and mixed up. Gave the sauce some cheesiness my hubby and son loved.
Mrsswill 8 months agoI made a couple of tweaks to the recipe according to what the reviews stated and because I am gluten free. I used half milk and half heavy cream and I started off sautéing the onion & some carrots and then added 1 & 1/2 tbsp of GF flour. Result: the hubby loved it! That always scores A+ in my book. Thanks!
mquattlebaum 9 months agoNext time i make this there will be just one flake of cayenne. Way too hot for us, but good flavors
sharonrumsey 1 year agoMeasurememts on the ingredients list were messed up. It was ok but i'm going to have to change the sauce next time. Following the measurements given in the ingedients, the sauce was way too runny
aurora_odet 1 year agoAmazing! My husband fell in love so I made it for the rest of my family for a get together and everyone loved it.

Jolieannac 1 year agoWow! I made almost this exact recipe a week ago from scratch! First I put the water to boil for the fettucine. Then I cooked the sausage with parsley, cayenne, seasoned salt, garlic powder, Italian seasonig and pepper. Then I made the sauce but added Parmesan to it! It was delicious!
ChefRodney 1 year agoQuick to make and tasty. I didn't have parsley so I substituted some Basil, and it turned out nicely.
Coastiewife18 1 year agoPretty darn good! Next time I will just buy a white sauce instead of using the milk base.
KarenD2011 2 years agoIt was so good. Lots of bursting flavors! My family loved it. So easy to make!!!!
Fredlm3 2 years agoIt was the best ever the only thing I had to change was to add some more flour because the sauce was a little thin n imma thick sauce type of guy.
motherceus 3 years agoIt was so easy to make and tasty too.
bill0405 3 years agoJust finished eating and it was delicious!! My only recommendation is to use a bit more flour as your are simmering the final mix. The sauce was a bit thin. Other than that....very good!
Tremear 3 years agoi was disappointed it was good but not what i expected
Johnathans 3 years agoSurprisingly simple and tasty! Would definately make it again. Recommended!
MATTE5 4 years agoVery Good. A couple changes I made were: I used fresh minced garlic instead of garlic powder. I did not use any butter - just use a little of the grease from the sausage instead.
BallroomDiva09 4 years agoAn excellent change from the usual 'red' sauces. Instead of 2 tsp. flour (maybe a mis-print?) for the white sauce, I used 2 tablespoons and the sauce was perfect. Yes, you do have to be careful when adding the milk and stir constantly or it will curdle and stick! I will certainly add this to my 'favorite' recipes!
swibirun 4 years agoEven better with substitutions! Last night we substituted 2 T each of fresh basil and oregano, added a diced red wax pepper, and switched out half and half for one of the cups of milk. The result is the version in the picture.
corilynn78 4 years agoGreat meal, I used garlic fettuccini noodles it added a nice flavor. My kids enjoyed it too. I will make this again.
