It was a hit! I added 3x the mayo called for, though, and used Monterey Jack cheese (no Colby). I also used a store-bought jar of Alfredo sauce for the 1 cup called for in the recipe and poured a little more over the chicken to cover before placing in the oven. The rest of the jar was mixed with the cooked fettuccine to keep it from sticking. Once the chicken was done, they were each placed on a dinner plate over the noodles. I served it with freshly cooked green beans. Chicken was a little over cooked; should have only browned in the skillet and finished cooking in the oven.
I made this for my girlfriend for valentine's day as she is a avid pasta eater of all sorts the only thing I adjusted was u added a little more Alfredo sauce then the directions asked for and I didn't use bacon, instead I added mushrooms and I must say it was delicious we had wine and garlic bread it was a regular olive garden experience yum
Very good recipe, I made some changes as i did not want to go to the grocery store. Panko bread crumbs, Parmesan Herb instead of bread crumbs, made a lovely crust. Substituted mayo with other half of Alfredo Sauce. I sliced the chicken breast length wise and dreaded them in butter before coating with the Panko. Easy recipe and my husband said I should make this again.
DELICIOUS!!! I love making this dish. It's much better if you just brown the chicken on both sides in the skillet. Let it finish cooking in the oven so the chicken will still be juicy. I also makes my own alfredo sauce which makes it taste even better. Yum!
I did not use the mayonnaise, bc I don't like it. Instead of bacon slices, I used bacon bits. I cooked the chicken on the stove prior to putting it in the oven... My husband loved it, will be making this for friends next;)
