lipkinmg , 2 years agoNot bad for 20 minutes effort but chili comes out a little soupy. Needed extra time to simmer and thicken.

skinnyprop , 2 years agoI omit the anise and add extra chicken broth. So easy and SO AMAZING!
LaRaquelVida , 2 years agoGreat! I added jalapeno when cooking it. Then topped with cilantro and cheese. It was soooo good! Will definitely make this again!
Autumnhatakeyama , 2 years agoThis is the best base for an awesome soup! You can follow it to a T & be happy but you will easily find out u can customize it to your liking ex extra spice, choice of meat or no meat, veggies ext. we loved it !
cynag , 2 years agoReally enjoyed this dish. We like spicy chili so I added jalapeños, and omitted the anise. Very nice dinner on a chilly evening

angieharpole , 2 years agoVery fast, very delicious, coming from 2 foodies. My power went out when I started so I had to forego baking and do the chicken on the stove top, but it turned out perfectly!
jrodsaxo1190 , 2 years agoThe chili is lacking when compared to your taste buds preconception of chili (traditional red). If you take it as it is, what a delightful meal to prepare and enjoy. It could use slight modification; but for the novice cook, friends will applaud. Toppings when served are a must...sour cream, shredded cheese, tortillas, etc. They accent the dish very well. Lady59 , 2 years agoVery easy to make, subbed anise seed w/fennel, enjoyed especially on this chilly day
Jenlynn62801 , 2 years agoMy family loves this recipe. Although I added two extra cans of beans and there's enough for dinner one night and lunch the next day.
Northone , 2 years agoNice change. Enjoyed. Bit of Mexico flavoring.
atreu , 2 years agoMy family lives this! So flavorful & great as left overs!
heidicoffey , 2 years agoMy family went wild over this, the only tweak was green pepper sautéed with the onion ( I try to sneak veggies in whenever I can ) it was a quick easy crowd pleaser, will have to double for leftovers!
che4u , 2 years agoI, personally, like red chili bases but they bother my husband's stomach so I tried this one. The family LOVED it! I would give it 6 out of 10 but my family rated it a 9 and want me to make again soon so I will base my rating on theirs. Thank you for the white base alternative to traditional chili.
Blueridgebabe , 2 years agoReally good! Even without the green chilies which I didn't have on hand.
