KEY LIME PIE
Original recipe makes 8
| 3 largeEggs; separated |
| 1 12-oz canCondensed milk |
| 1/2 cupKey lime juice |
| 1 teaspoonVanilla |
| 3 tablespoonSugar |
| Pie crust; baked |
KEY LIME PIE Preparation
Separate eggs. Beat egg yolks. Add condensed milk and blend until smooth. Gradually add Key Lime juice and mix well.
Pour mixture into cooled Baked pie crust. ( Graham Cracker crust can be used if desired.)
Beat egg whites until frothy. Add vanilla . Continue to beat and gradually add sugar. Beat untill peaks.
Top pie with meringue.
Bake in 350 degree over for about 12-15 minutes until lightly browned.
Notes
About 6 fresh key limes make 1/2 cup
